New ‘Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS)’ Business Type

New ‘Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS)’ Business Type

A new construction business type called Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) and a revised Construction Stage Safety and Health Plan template are now available on BeSMART.ie.

In May 2017 the Authority launched a Construction Stage Plan template that was made available to all construction business types on the BeSMART.ie platform when they had completed risk assessments for their business type.

We have now launched a new business type called Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) which includes the particular risks detailed in the Construction Regulations,  and two checklists covering welfare on site and mandatory safety requirements.

We will now be withdrawing the option to download a Construction Stage Safety and Health Plan template from the following business types;

  • Alarm Security, Archaeology, Backhoe Operator, Blockwork & Masonry, Building Surveyor, Carpentry, Cladding, Electrician, Fascia & Soffit, Flooring Contractor, Formwork, Insulation, Internal floor and wall finishing, Kitchen / Wardrobe Fitting, Land Surveying, Landscaping, Milking Machine Installation, Painting & Decorating, Plastering, Plumber, Radon, Roofing, Scaffolding, Sign Installation, Steel Erection, Tiling and Windows Doors & Glazing

On the 6th September 2018 we will remove the option to download a Construction Stage Safety and Health Plan from the remaining construction business types;

  • Agricultural Building Contractor, Building Contractor, Demolition, Extension & Refurbishment, Fit Out, General Builder and Groundworks

After this date to get a Construction Stage Safety and Health Plan template you will have to;

  • Choose the Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) business type
  • Work through the risk assessments and checklists
  • Download the template and edit it to make it specific to the project to be undertaken. Note it is critical that this is done and it is not sufficient just to download the template.
